Fiber Artist

I have worked with fabric and fiber since I was a girl, inspired and trained by my mother.  My mother taught me to make my own clothes as well as using fabric and fiber for interior design in furniture upholstery, draperies, and accents.  My enjoyment of working with fabric and fiber has grown over time and I have a deep appreciation for my mother’s influence on what I do today.

I’ve been a self-taught designer and knitter of sweaters for more than 25 yrs.  Sweaters were initially my palette for texture and color combinations.  I now apply what I learned to the design of fiber murals.   The popularity of knitting has brought so many new, beautiful fibers of vibrate colors and unique textures which makes working with fiber for décor so exciting.

The world is full of ideas that inspire me in the creation of fiber murals.  I enjoy experimenting with colors, textures and forms of fiber that allow me to pursue a passion that has been cultivated over years of working with fiber of many forms.
